How To Age A Cigar Using A Humidor

People can pay lots of money for a fine quality cigar. Quality cigars are usually aged over time, but you too can enjoy a quality aged cigar by doing it yourself at home using a cigar humidor. A cigar that has been aged well displays complex but subtle distinctions in flavour and texture. Like wine, an aged cigar is simply the best kind of cigar that you can enjoy.

First of all, as with all good recipes, high quality ingredients are needed in order to achieve a high quality finished item. Therefore it is necessary to spend a little more on buying a quality cigar to start with. If you buy a cheap cigar, your enjoyment after a year of ageing (which is about the minimum time you need to allow) wont be realised as ageing a cheap cigar will not enhance the cigar very much at all. It’s true that if you find a high quality cigar that is perhaps too strong for you, then this is probably a good candidate for ageing.

Buy a good quality cigar humidor for the purpose of ageing your cigars. The cigar humidor is used to store the cigars at a constant tempertature and humidity.
